IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR JOB APPLICANTS
How we collect and use your personal information
We wanted to let you know that, because of a new data privacy law that is being introduced in the UK on 25th May 2018, we are providing job applicants with more details about how we collect and use your personal information.
This won’t mean that we are changing the way we collect or use your information, but to help make it easier for you to find out what we do, we’ve created a new ‘Privacy Notice’ which includes details about: –
- The types of personal information we collect an use
- How we store your personal information and who has access to it
- Why and how we use and protect your personal information
- How long we store your personal information
- Your rights in connections with accessing your personal information
You can download our Privacy Notice from this website or you can request a copy by contacting our Head Office on 028 9075 1212.
If the post you are applying for allows you access to vulnerable adults, by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order NI 1979, you are not entitled to withhold information about convictions which would otherwise be considered as spent.
It is a legal requirement that a Criminal Records check be carried out on those who work with vulnerable adults, therefore it will be a requirement for successful candidates to apply for an Access NI Enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
We adhere to Access NI’s Code of Practice, a copy of which can be downloaded from this website or by contacting our Head Office or any of the Nursing Homes within the Group.
Unprejudiced consideration will be given to applicants who declare criminal convictions unless their offences are manifestly incompatible with the post in question. A copy of our Recruitment and Employment of Ex-Offenders and the Use of Disclosure Information – Policy Statement can be downloaded from this website or by contacting our Head Office or any of the Nursing Homes in the Group
We recognise that the provision of equal opportunities in the workplace is not only good management practice but also makes sound business sense. Our Equal Opportunities Policy helps ensure all employees are given the opportunity to develop their full potential.
